Halloween party...and the first snow!

We had a neighborhood halloween party the weekend before halloween. I spent the day making cookies with Hannah for the party...and thank goodness she helped me because I never would have gotten it done on my own. It snowed for the first time that day and we enjoyed the weather inside the house where it was nice and warm. I finally got to drink some hot apple cider...it was AWESOME!

The was fun, lots of people, LOTS of food and candy...and some pretty awesome costumes  :D All in all it was a good day. Check it out!

The day of the party was our first snow! The doggies wanted to go out and play...Justus loves playing in the snow! He was running around like he was on crack heehee!

I was making Halloween cookies and Hannah was helping me. We had music going, were making some awesome cookies, enjoying the snow, and drinking hot apple cider in my penguin mugs :D

The cookies came out great by the way :D and we had fun decorating them.

I was a pirate...though some said I looked like a gypsy instead.
 Brecken as the transfomer Bumblebee!
A serial killer, zombie, Luigi, witch/vampire?, and Spiderman...

Zombie Jaime alert! Don't let him eat your brains!
Our adorable pregnant Hannah as Waldo from Where's Waldo :D
Steve and Josh...Josh is...well I'm not sure what he is...and Steve is himself.
Carson is a greaser...and an adorable one at that. Complete with a fake pack of cigarettes rolled up in his sleeve. And somebody handed him the beer just as I snapped the picture...

Fall 2012

So I know I haven't been very good at updating my blog, but I am taking pictures and I'll be getting things posted and up hopefully in the next couple days. I got some GREAT fall pics and some fun ones from the neighborhood halloween part :D

This is on the drive home from Grafenwohr...its so pretty I had top stop :D

The red ivy is climbing a wall of a church I think...in Eschenbach...a town we drive through on our way home.

This is the tree outside our front door...
and my lovely gourds and pumpkins! I love fall!

Germany is gorgeous and I forgot how much I love fall until we got here. Its been so pretty  and fabulous weather. It reminds me a lot of home. I love it!

Carving pumpkins at the McGinnis house :D Carson wanted nothing to do with sticking his hand in a pumpkin and pulling out the guts. He said it was yucky! His reaction was hilarious! They ended up with one pumpkin with a funny face, and the other had an Angry Bird on it. So much fun!

Pics of the house...

Now that we've gotten all our household goods and settled into the house, I figured I'd post a few pics. I didn't take pics of all the rooms again cuz some of them aren't done or really put together. But I did paint the kitchen and put some of my decorations up...still have some things to hang on the walls...but it looks awesome! I'm so excited :)

so random picture of a venus fly trap? No thats my newest...pet...or whatever. He's pretty cool! I'm trying to figure out a name for him...it's between Gary (suggested by Patrick) and Seymour (which is the name of the venus fly trap in a movie called Little Shop of Horrors...or so I'm told). Any suggestions? :)

My crafty room/library is being worked on still...I need to get a rug and set up the table and do a little organizing but its my own little room. I'm excited about it lol.
This is the other room on the third floor...its Patricks' domain which will eventually get organized...and can be used as another guest room if needed.

The room with all the dressers is our room...its awaiting our new bed that will hopefully be ordered this week :) The bed in it at the moment is the military furniture that was lent to us and is hard as a rock!
and a oneshot of the entry way with its welcome sign :)

A short tour of our place so far...I will put up more soon!
